Karen C. Sheldon

Karen is a mental health therapist, trauma-conscious yoga teacher, sign language interpreter, as well as a mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

I support individuals, families, adults, children, and teens to explore the ups and downs of this experience of life.

The tools I use to co-create a shared space are: talk, art, imagery, play, and sensory, and embodied interventions. With so many modalities, clients connect deeply to themselves and are able to process the world around them, and move towards wellness.

My style is aimed at incorporating evidence based strategies to rework old thought patterns, create new core beliefs, develop perspective taking skills, and embrace the present moment.

  • Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT)
